About me

I am a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London, and hold a PhD in International Relations at the London School of Economics. I work on projects related to Islam, national security, international law, women, social norms, human rights and international cooperation, and has an interest in politics and international affairs, focusing on conflict resolution, human rights, and the Middle East.


I hold  an MA in Middle East Studies from Harvard University, and a BA in Politics and French from Princeton University and have worked at USAID, the Council on Foreign Relations, and as a staff writer for Policymic. I also write featured blogs for The London GlobalistMic.com, and The Huffington Post.
