About me

I am a researcher and policy analyst, working at the intersection of development, diplomacy and security. I am currently a Director, Education Content at the Council on Foreign Relations, and a Lecturing Fellow at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy. I previously served as a a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London and as a staff writer for Mic.com.
I hold a BA in Politics and French from Princeton University, an MA in Middle East Studies from Harvard University, and PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
My research has been published in a range of outlets, including Human Rights Review, Foreign Policy, World Politics Review, The National Interest and as chapters in The Arab Gulf States and the West: Perception and Misperception, Opportunities and Perils, and The Routledge History of Human Rights.
